Drought What is Drought?
A Drought is a long period of low rainfall leading to a shortage of water. Georgia experienced its worst droughts from 1924 until 1927 and 1930 until 1935. Droughts impact the quality and quantity of crops farmers can grow. The Drought combined with the Boll Weevil meant Georgia experienced depression before the rest of the United States.
If a farmer’s crop dies before it can be harvested, how can he make money to pay his bills?
