Families Information Service (FIS) Central point of information for families Freephone helpline; 0800 138 4568 Telephone; 01302 862136 / 862132 FIS website; www.doncasterchildrenandfamilies.info Families Information Service is the central point of information for families across the Doncaster area. We provide details of all the Ofsted registered childcare and schools in Doncaster. Parents and professionals can access this information through the Childcare and Schools search on our website. Searches are easy to use and you can tailor your searches to the information you require. We also provide information on family services across Doncaster which can be found on the Family Services Search. Again, these searches can be tailored to meet the users needs. We provide support and advice on a wide range of subjects to support families, including the Local Offer which is what I am here to talk about today….

The Local Offer Information to support children and young people with special educational needs Easily accessible information in one place Range of local support services Education, Health and Social Care All Local Authorities have a duty to provide a Local Offer, setting out in one place the provision they expect to be available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their parents or carers in a single place. It shows families what they can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care.
