What was the impact of Stalin’s domestic policies? L/O – To evaluate the successes and failures of Stalin’s domestic policies

The ‘Cultural Revolution’ Stalin was not just concerned with rapid industrialisation and collectivisation. He also wanted a ‘cultural revolution’ to change all elements of society. The socialist future could only be achieved if society was transformed entirely. Old bourgeois attitudes had to be destroyed in order to create a ‘new Soviet Man’. From the late 1920s and through the 1930s, the Cultural Revolution sought to completely change society. But was Stalin successful?

What were Stalin’s policies towards… Your Task What were Stalin’s policies towards… The position of women = Noel Religion = Melanie Ethnic Minorities = Mary Education = Felicia and Sabrina Young People = Adrian Arts and Culture = Le-Tone Each of you will research a different area of Stalin’s domestic policies. You will each produce a presentation on your area. Each presentation needs to address the following: What were the aims of Stalin’s policy? What successes did Stalin have in this area? What failures did Stalin have in this area? Presentations should be 5-10mins. A hand-out of notes also needs to be included. Consider using pictures, videos, songs and diagrams.
