Lesson 5: Using Case Tracking Dynamic View

Understanding Dynamic View SurgiNet Case Tracking Dynamic View is used for day-of surgical board management. It supplements the Case Tracking system by providing a graphical representation of case tracking information. Introduction to Case Tracking

Scheduled Surgical Case Recent Button Dynamic View Toolbar Refresh Button Location Tabs Scheduled Surgical Case Operating Room The components of Dynamic View are shown above.

Understanding Case Borders & Milestones Case Borders and Milestones appear on surgical cases in Dynamic View in order for you to quickly determine the status of a case. Introduction to Case Tracking

Understanding Case Borders & Milestones Case Border information is relevant to the timing of a surgical case (i.e. if a case is later than scheduled, earlier than scheduled, etc.). Milestone information is relevant to the status of the surgical case (i.e. if the surgery has started, if the surgery has ended, etc.). To understand the status of a case, simply look at the case border and milestone. In the example shown right, the case has started and ended, indicated by the orange / dark orange milestones. In addition, the duration of the case was changed from how it was scheduled, indicated by the pink case border. Introduction to Case Tracking

In Dynamic View, only resources (rooms) that have cases scheduled appear. Other resources do not populate on the schedule. The ability to view and set events is based on your security. Some functions, including toolbar options, may be grayed out if the function is not available to you or not applicable to the task that you are performing. Introduction to Case Tracking
