Figure 2 Results from multilevel logistic regression analyses of probability of live birth, implantation and implantation resulting in a live birth according to sex and alcohol consumption. Implantation is defined as positive human chorionic gonadotrophin testing in blood serum or urine. Analyses were performed using a categorized alcohol consumption variable: none = 0 drinks/week, light = 1–2 drinks/week, moderate = 3–7 drinks/week for women and 3–14 drinks/week for men and heavy = > 7 drinks/week for women and >14 drinks/week for men. In the trend analyses alcohol consumption was included as a continuous variable. Female analyses were adjusted for female age, female smoking and female BMI. Male analyses were adjusted for male age, male smoking and male BMI. The unit of analysis was treatment cycle, and results are given as ORs with 95% CIs. BMI, = body mass index; CI = confidence interval; OR = odds ratio. Reproductive BioMedicine Online 2017 35, 152-160DOI: (10.1016/j.rbmo.2017.04.006) Copyright © 2017 Reproductive Healthcare Ltd. Figure 3 Results from quantitative bias analyses of live birth according to sex and alcohol consumption. Analyses were performed using a categorized alcohol consumption variable as non-consumers versus consumers. For complete cases (26,109 cycles for women and 2197 cycles for men), we calculated ORs with 95% CIs according to various levels of sensitivity. A non-differential exposure misclassification and a specificity of 100% was applied. Results are presented as corrected ORs with 95% CIs according to level of sensitivity. The unit of analysis was treatment cycle. CI = confidence interval; OR = odds ratio.
