Positive Vibe Foundation prepares people with cognitive or physical disabilities for paid employment in the food service industry. The mission is accomplished by training and employing people with disabilities at Maxs Positive Vibe Café.

There is no typical trainee! Teens and adults (ages 16 and up) Richmond and surrounding area including local school systems Emotionally mature and willing to work 1:1 interview process

4 weeks 2 hour class Monday-Friday 3 supervised internships when the restaurant is open for lunch, dinner or brunch Mid-term and final exams, internship evaluations Graduation Real-world, hands-on experiences Use kitchen tools Work with volunteer chefs Advanced Training program (invitation only)

The Pride Statement encompasses the trainees positive characteristics/attributes, skills/abilities and training/experiences I am a confident, accurate, hard worker with skills in measuring, slicing and bussing tables Im a graduate of the Positive Vibe Training program. I can work independently and follow directions. I have a great attendance record.
