J.K.Rowling and her magic world

Joanne K. Rowling is a British novelist, autor of the Harry Potter fantasy series. J.K.Rowling was born in 1965 in England. After then she has graduated from Exeter University, worked as a teacher.

When J.K.Rowling was an unemployed single parent and had a little money, she wrote her fantastic story about Harry Potter at a table in a café.

When her first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone was published in 1997, her life changed dramatically, the Harry Potter series won some awards and become famous around the world.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone, the first novel featuring Harry Potter, a young wizard. It describes how Harry comes to the magic world and prevented an comeback by the evil wizard Lord Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Camber of Secrets (was published in 1998) Harry´s second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, when messages on the school´s walls warn, that the Chamber of Sectrets has been opened. At the end Harry is confronted by young Lord Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999) During his third year Harry Potter rescues Sirius Black, Harry´s godfather, and we also met with professor Remus Lupin (the werewolf) and dementors.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000) The Triwizard Tournament is placed at Hogwards and Harry is one of entrants. During the las task are Harry and his schoolmate Cedric kidnaped, Cedric is killed and Voldemort is back again.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2003) During all his fifth school year Harry hears Voldemort´s voice inside his mind and at the end goes to the Ministry, where Sirius Black is killed.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005) During his sixth school year Harry learns about Horcruxes, object with part of Voldemort´s soul. One of them searches with Dumbledor, but at the end school is occuped by Death Eaters and Dumbledor is killed by Severus Snape.

Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows (2007) Harry Poter and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger search and destroy the Horcruxes and Harry Potter defeat Lord Voldemort.

The books about Harry Potter have sold than 400 milion copies worldwide and have also given rise to the popular film adaptations produced by Warner Bros.

J.K.Rowling is a personality not only as writer, but also as a person. She is a symbol of succesfull woman. She is interested in children, charity, the world. Children began to come back to books thanks her Harry Potter.
