Washington DC, November 12-14, 2016 Empowering the Next Generation to Advance Open Access, Open Education and Open Data About OpenCon OpenCon will convene students and early career academic professionals from around the world and serve as a powerful catalyst for projects led by the next generation to advance OpenCon's three focus areas—Open Access, Open Education, and Open Research Data. Three Days to Connect Through a program of keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and hackathons, participants will build skills in key areas—from raising institutional awareness to coordinating national-level campaigns effectively. About Participating Participants for the conference will be selected through an application process which opened on June 6th. Full and partial travel scholarships will be available to cover the cost of attendance for qualified participants. Take ownership of the system of scholarly research and education you will inherit.
