More Preterite Spelling Changers -aer, -eer, oír, -oer, -uir

-aer, -eer, -oír, -oer Verbs with the above infinitive endings use the endings “-yó” and “-yeron” for the third person forms (usually, there are some exceptions). The remaining forms all gain an accent over the letter “i” in the ending. So the only form without an accent is the third person plural. (-yeron)

-uir Verbs that end in –uir change the same way, but the written accent on the letter “i” only occurs in the yo form.
