Accessing God's Power by Sermon by Rev Andy

Psalm 149: 5-9 5. Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. 6. May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, 7. to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8. to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9. to carry out the sentence written against them this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord.

You will get what you put in Galatians 6:7, Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

What we put in determines what we get out.

Even if we don't feel like praising and worshiping God, WE STILL DO IT NO MATTER HOW WE FEEL. Ps 135:3, “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praise to his name…”

It’s not enough to close our eyes and lift our hands - IT MATTERS WHERE IS OUR HEART. John 4:23 “… true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth …”

Worship is all about JESUS CHRIST God is looking for WORSHIPERS

What we say we believe should match up with HOW WE ACT. 1 John 3:18, Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

There is power in Psalm 149: 5-9, “Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands…”

Conclusion Praise and worship gets your FOCUS on God. Praise and worship increase your UNDERSTANDING of God. Praise and worship helps build your CONFIDENCE in God.
