EFF Factor Training Program VI. Daily Logs (for every Employee)

Data Entry Two Options Quick logs Start Page

Option One Quick Log Click Here Click on Quick log for entering logs

The Default Date will be current Date which may be changed if required 1 Future Logs are not acceptable but back dated entries can be made. (Note: Logs are saved with a date stamp not visible to employees in My logs) This shows no. of hours an employee is expected to log for the day (Based on Minimum log time in the master for the employee) 1 For the first log of the day it is mandatory to enter the Start time & End time. One can use the field “HH:MM” (Hours:Minutes) for the rest of logs of the day

Enter the Date for the log Click on ASSIGNED for entering the logs details of the project assigned to the employee Enter the Date for the log Click Here Select the Project and Task from the dropdown list Click Here And then, fill in the rest of the fields: Click Here Click Here Start time & End time Other details (Details of work done) Expense incurred if any Expense details Click on Save button If the instructions for the task are not followed untick the box and give reasons for the same under Other Details Remaining time in days field shows the no. of days left to complete the task (If budget is created), the user can alter the field depending on the situation.

Enter the Date for the log An employee who has not been assigned to a particular project but works on that project can log by clicking on UNASSIGNED Enter the Date for the log Select the Project and Task from the dropdown list Click Here And then, fill in the rest of the fields: Click Here Start time & End time Click Here Other details (Details of work done) Expense incurred if any Expense details Click on Save button

Enter the Date for the log If a person does not work on any project he can log by clicking on NON-PROJECT Enter the Date for the log Select the Logtype from the dropdown list And then, fill in the rest of the fields: Click Here Click Here Start time & End time Other details (Reasons) Click on Save button

If the employee has worked beyond the normal working hours he can continue to log for extra time that he has spent.

Employee can check all the logs of displayed date in Quick log below the Data Entry section in the Historical Log table. Employee can edit or delete the log details on the date of entry before 12am.(irrespective of date for which data is entered.) For timely data entry employee gets points which are displayed on the start page Click on the start page

Rules for Awarding points to Employees

Option Two Start Page Click on My Assignments for entering the logs details of the project assigned to the employee % of Completion Click Here Note the details available for assigned tasks with % of Completion Click Here Click Here Click on log button next to the Project Name + Task Name where the employee need to fill his/her log for the day. Now, fill the rest of the details: Start time & End time Other details (Details of work done) Expense incurred if any NOTE: With the progress of work completion % will continue to increase and the entry will disappear when it is 100% complete NOTE: You will observe that the procedure after clicking on My assignment, is virtually the same as in Option One Expense details Click on Save button

Now, fill the rest of the details: Click on Search open projects for entering the logs details of the project to which employee has not been assigned. After clicking on Search open project, select the project and task name where employee has to fill in his/her log details. Click Here Click Here Click Here Now, fill the rest of the details: Start time & End time Other details (Details of work done) Click on Save button NOTE: You will observe that the procedure after clicking on Project & Task Name, is virtually the same as in Option One

Select the Logtype from the dropdown list If a person does not work on any project he can log by clicking on +Log non-project time Select the Logtype from the dropdown list Click Here Click Here Now, fill the rest of the details: Start time & End time Other details (Details of work done or Reasons) Click on Save button Click Here

Employee can check all the logs of the entered till date under My logs on Start page Employee can edit or delete the logs entered on any date before 12am of that date.

Which Option to Choose Option One – Generally preferable Option Two – Where Employee works on assigned jobs substantially he may prefer Option Two, this option may also be useful where backlog of logs is to be cleared.(e.g. A person on leave for say 10 days may find it faster to report the days on leave by choosing this option.)
