VEHICLES (OIF): 12% of Army’s Wheeled vehicles 7.5 times the peacetime OPTEMPO 42 (85%) of Army AMV Accidents – if at the same rate as the rest of the army, expect about 53 accidents. Conclusion: The numbers and rates in OIF are higher than the rest of the Army, but we could expect more ground accidents and fatalities. -As of 15 Jan 04, UH-60s in OIF flew a total of 104K hours. - If they had the same OPTEMPO as those Aircraft outside the box they would have an accident every 32K hours reslting in only 3 accidents. - Doesn’t count Environmental factors like brown-out and fatigue.
