Goldilocks & The Three Bears Nursery Summer 1 Week 4 Expressive Arts and Design Our role play will be the three bears cottage, the children can play together, listening to each others ideas and acting out the story taking on the roles of the characters. On the creative table the children will be selecting the materials they want to use to make Goldilocks. Communication & Language Literacy The older children will be thinking of some words to describe the characters in the story and the younger children will have some describing words that they will match to the right character. Phonics In phonics some children will be playing lots of listening games and the older children will be learning all about the letter ‘b’, what sound it makes and objects that begin with that sound. Goldilocks & The Three Bears Nursery Summer 1 Week 4 Mathematics Some children will be adding two groups together to find the total and some children will be counting out a given number and matching it to numbers 1-5. Physical Development We will continue to do our finger and upper body exercises in dough gym. During our PE time we will be finding different ways to travel on the apparatus. On our fine motor table we will be counting out the correct number of clips to pinch together to put onto Goldilocks. Speaking & Listening The children will have time to ‘show and tell’ something that they have brought from home. So don’t forget to bring something in. Mrs C Mayne
