What happens when we answer the call? The 2nd Year What happens when we answer the call?

God blesses those who mourn… Matthew 5:4 God blesses those who mourn…

What does it mean to mourn? “To feel or express grief or sorrow.” – Webster’s Dictionary

What are we to mourn?

2 Corinthians 7:10 For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.

There is a sorrow that we are supposed to have! Sorrow that leads away from sin Sorrow for what we’ve done Sorrow for sin in the world

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4 God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

What does it mean to be comforted?

Matthew 11:28-30   Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

We must look at our own lives and see if there is any sin that we are tolerating.

We have to decide to remove anything from our lives that’s influencing us to walk in the wrong direction.

We have to decide to remove anything from our lives that’s influencing us to walk in the wrong direction.

We have to allow Jesus to comfort us.

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4 God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
