Preventing Falls Training 2016 (Formerly Slips Trips and Falls) START

Preventing Falls Training There are three pathways to this course. You will be required to complete only one pathway. Please click on the relevant button below depending on what group your role comes under: Group One For TI’s, support workers, domestic staff, porters, admin staff (where appropriate). Group Two For Nursing staff, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Falls Champions, AP’s. Group Three For Medical staff

Group One 364 Falls Training You will need to complete ‘Falls Training Level 1’. Please search within OLM for the following: 364 Falls Training For TI’s, support workers, domestic staff, porters and admin staff (where appropriate). Approx. 30 mins Next

000 Preventing Falls in Hospitals Group Two You will need to complete ‘Preventing Falls in Hospitals’. Please search within OLM for the following: 000 Preventing Falls in Hospitals For Nursing staff, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Falls Champions, AP’s Approx. 90 mins Next

Please search within OLM for the following: Group Three You will need to complete ‘Carefall: Reducing inpatient falls risk factors and post fall management’. Please search within OLM for the following: 000 Carefall For medical staff. Approx. 80 mins Next

In the event of a fall the rapid response protocol must be followed: Important Documents All patients admitted over the age of 65 and any others under the age of 65 deemed to be at risk of falling must be offered a falls risk assessment.
