Graduation Requirements Why add an early graduation policy? Expanded credit opportunities Students have fulfilled requirements Graduation Requirements: Students must successfully complete 7 out of 8 credits during his/her senior year of high school Students must fulfill the following assessment criteria: Class of 2018- District policy requires proficiency in all three Keystone Exam content areas. Students who do not score satisfactory will be required to complete an alternative assessment Class of 2019 and after: Commonwealth law requires proficiency in all three Keystone Exam content areas. Students who are not successful will be required to complete a PDE-approve assessment

Current graduation requirements

Proposed changes Full-Time Postsecondary Students: Early Graduation: A fourth year of high school shall not be required for graduation if a students has completed the requirement listed below. The student and parent must supply a written request to the building principal prior to the start of school Required number of credits Requirements established by the Commonwealth and Manheim Central School District Early Graduation: Students completing the requirements for graduation listed below before the end of their eighth (8th) semester may elect to be an early graduate and receive their diploma after the conclusion of the first semester. Students will be eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony Students who elect to graduate at the conclusion of the first semester would not be eligible to continue in any extra-curricular activities/athletics after receiving their diploma Manheim Central School District Requirements: “Students must fulfill all Manheim Central School District graduation requirements”
