Good Morning, Bonjour, Worsley Brigade! Today is Monday September 24 2018 Day 5 Aujourd’hui c’est lundi le 17 Septembre 24, 2018. Jour 5

Terry Fox is my hero! Brandon Miller, Cancer survivor and goalie for the Toronto Rock Lacrosse team says that, “Fighting Cancer and/or watching a loved one battle the deadly disease is what real-life fears are made of”. When Terry Fox was diagnosed with cancer he realized that this fear was all too real. He found his strength in watching young cancer patients fight off this terrible disease which was the seed that started to grow inside of him and eventually bloomed into his marathon of hope which today has raised more than $750 million. “Terry Fox is my hero," says Branon Miller “and he was my brother Kyle’s hero too, until he lost his fight with cancer”. So in the spirit of Terry’s legendary Legacy Brandon had a tribute to Terry painted on his goalie mask and auctioned it off raising $10 000 to go towards Terry’s cause. Visit the Worsley library to see the mask, the jersey and more on Brandon’s message.
