Memes & Did You Know Shown on all screen throughout school

Feedback / Results Very positive feedback from students and teachers regarding signage and proverbs ‘Languages make the impossible possible” Reinforce old material and learn new vocabulary using existing knowledge Online activity using Duolingo, Blogs and the Exchange Platform was very successful in terms of student engagement and motivation – particularly in Irish Students very eager and keen to have Skype communication with other schools and students

Feedback/ Results Students and teachers loved the Irish memes each week and would laugh and discuss them World Heritage Event was extremely popular with students, who loved learning about other cultures and for teachers to get to know their students better Initial reluctance amongst some students Number of TY students doing presentations high showed great interest Improved JC Results last 2 years

Going Forward - Sustainability Signage & Proverbs remain Find partner schools for eTwinning Continue to promote CLIL and cooperative learning Encourage more online activity and self-directing learning using languages Continue with competitions and Gaeltacht trip Host plurilingual table quiz Work on World Heritage Event again next year Funding needed in IT and for guest-speakers etc Flexibility on timetables needed for teachers to plan and work together
