Last weekend, Tom and Lucy planned to go on a picnic to the fields Last weekend, Tom and Lucy planned to go on a picnic to the fields. Lucy was making fresh ham and cheese sandwiches while Tom was putting them into a brown, straw basket.

Their puppy, Snowy was staring at those delicious sandwiches and the crispy cookies. Their mother called them and showed them the way to the fields on a map. While Tom and Lucy were looking at the large map, Snowy jumped on the chair, then onto the brown long table and finally he jumped inside Tom's basket.

Lucy and Tom grabbed the basket and waved goodbye Lucy and Tom grabbed the basket and waved goodbye. As they headed into the fields, they saw their cousin's black and white cows. Finally, they spotted a perfect spot under a large tree where they could stay.

Lucy had an idea, she suggested that first they should go to play and then go to eat. The two children played and played. Then, they got tired so they went to feed the cows.

Lucy and Tom jumped back in fright Lucy and Tom jumped back in fright. Lucy was going to burst out laughing but Tom was very angry at Snowy. Snowy was looking very sweet so Tom didn't shout at him. Snowy had gobbled up everything in the basket. Well, at least, they still had coffee which their mum had made!

Then they went off to play with Snowy Then they went off to play with Snowy. A few hours later, it was time to go home. They packed everything and said goodbye to the cows and went home. When they arrived they told their mum what happened.
