Grant Funds Purpose Title I A $984,307 Federal $$ Restricted use. Using at the 3 elementary schools for remedial support in Reading and Math and B/A tutoring in Reading and Math. LAP (Learning Assistance Program) $680,224 State $$ Restricted use. Using at OMS for Reading, Math, and ELL support; OBJH for Math and ELL support; and SHS for Reading and ELL support Rural & Low Income Schools $80,289 Available only to districts with rural designation and meeting high poverty factor (based on census) Restricted use. Pays for staff training and additional support/mentoring of homeless students. Title X – Homeless (competitive grant, awarded for 3 years 2010-2013) $30,000/year Restricted use. Pays for a portion of required Homeless Liaison, required excess transportation costs, and help to families with school related expenses.

Learning Assistance Program (LAP) State $680,224 Designed to provide additional support and extended learning opportunities to low performing students in grades K-12 in reading, math and/or language arts. Can only serve students scoring I or II on MSP or HSPE Allocation of funds are based on K-12 enrollment and the new “prototypical school district” funding model
