“Story Tellers”

We are warned about some “story tellers”… (Luke 18:9) Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: (NKJV)

False Stories Can Cause Harm (Matthew 26:58-61) But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest's courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end. Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward and said, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.'" (NKJV)

Tell the True Story… Expose False Teachers! (Ephesians 5:11) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (NKJV) (2 Thessalonians 3:6) But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us. (NKJV) (2 Thessalonians 3:14) And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. (NKJV)

The Lord’s people should tellers of God’s story. (Matthew 26:35) Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And so said all the disciples. (NKJV)

The Lord’s people should tellers of other people’s stories. (Romans 3:20) Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (NKJV)
