preserve A preserve is an area set aside for the protection of plants and animals. It is important to preserve our forests. What other natural resources should we preserve?

restore When you restore something, you bring it back to its original condition. Gene likes to restore old cars. What is something you would like to restore?

suffered Something that has suffered has been harmed or damaged. The houses suffered damage in the storm. What other things might have suffered in a storm?

rainfall Rainfall is the amount of rain that falls on an area in a certain period of time. The yearly rainfall in a desert is only 10 inches. What do you think the yearly rainfall is in a rain forest?
