OUTFIELD PLAY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLs0pjWnzTY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_7kbmJfoTY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Afc7wg3Urwk&index=5&list=PLpUKdbtlOxWYD9kHwRucZCsyLVq0iPkZw

OUTFIELD PLAY Always show energy, positive attitude, move on every pitch! 80/20 rule – stats show 80% hit to center of field & 10% to the sides. dev. by Cleveland Indians. Play shallow – make them earn their hits! CF Mouth – say something to someone EVERY PITCH! Move 8-10 steps or its not worth it!

OUTFIELD PLAY Catch ball on arm side eye! Come up through the ball when catching it, never catch it standing upright! Must know the situation before pitch! Catch to release – 1.25 seconds or less https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUK9lG-7HTc Get rid of the baseball!

OUTFIELD PLAY Knowing the situation - what will happen if it’s a base hit to me or a fly ball? Get behind the baseball – sprint, get behind, get angle to where you will throw, catch coming in! Diving – Unless it’s a game saving play, do not dive head first toward the lines. Slide feet first if needed!

OUTFIELD PLAY Right of way – center fielder! If CF can get to the baseball he is to call it! Back each other up! Back up IF bases – if you are standing watching a play, you are out of position! Gap balls – talk to each other telling the person retrieving ball where cut of is, where to throw! Get rid of it 1.25 seconds or less!
