You need everything for periods 1-4. Please make sure you have your: Agenda Pencil Homework Necessary materials for your first 4 classes. No cell phone or gum!

Activator: Sit down SILENTLY Take HW out and make sure name is on it. Write HW in agenda Solve mentally (no talking, no writing, no air writing) 9 * 14

Today’s Objective(s): I will be able to apply the properties of operations to generate equivalent expressions. For example, apply the distributive property to the expression 3 (2 + x) to produce the equivalent expression 6 + 3x; apply the distributive property to the expression 24x + 18y to produce the equivalent expression 6 (4x + 3y) So that I can learn how t0 create equivalent expressions using the distributive property, through the use of models, playing go fish, and using the factored form to find the standard form of an expression I will know I got it when I can verbally discuss and write the solutions to each station with my partners with at least 80% accuracy. 6.EE. 3

Vocabulary: Model Variable factored form expanded form Expression Factoring Distributing

Center Work: Students are to: Read over the directions and problem(s) at each station. With your group, you will answer the problem(s) When the teacher tells you to, you will move to the next station and follow the directions. You will only have 14 minutes at each station.
