Scoil Chaitríona Baggot Street Active Schools 2017-2018 Partnerships

Partnerships During the year we have been fortunate to work with a wide variety of sporting organisations. Working with these organisations has greatly enhanced the children’s enjoyment of and participation in sports this year. It has also allowed the children to try sports they have not participated in before.

Football Association of Ireland In conjunction with the FAI we took part in both 5-a-side and 11-a-side football tournaments.

Leinster Rugby Ken from Leinster Rugby trained 3rd and 4th classes during the year. The children learned the basic skills involved in tag rugby.

Dublin City Council and Irish Athletic Boxing Association Students received boxing training in school, in Drimnagh Boxing Club and in the National Boxing Stadium.

Spikeball Ireland and Loreto College Boys and girls were taught the skills of spikeball by volunteers from Spikeball Ireland and Loreto College, St. Stephen’s Green.

Clanna Gael GAA Club We have links with the local GAA club who assist with GAA training as well as setting up matches.
