Pretend you work for an ancient Roman newspaper. Write a story in paragraph form about one of Rome’s greatest conquests. Directions: 1. Give an account of a recent Roman conquest. Describe the battle. 2. Describe in detail any plunder or spoils from the victory. What did the Romans take from the conquered people? 3. Explain how the Romans treated the people they conquered.
