Adding a Diagnosis The top picture shows diagnosis selection pop up box in FOCUS. Enter the first few letters of the diagnosis. FOCUS has begun the transition from ICD9 codes to ICD10 codes. The first column displays the ICD9 code that will be billed. In the description column both the ICD9 and ICD10 descriptions appear. The Mappings column displays the new ICD10 code that will be used in October of 2015. When you locate the code that best fits the clients condition click on the Select link on the far right. The screen shot below that shows how the diagnosis displays with the codes and status of the diagnosis.
