½ Common Buzz Words Fill Load 1/3 Flats Scooch Key Word Meaning Being the tackler after the ball carrier has been force inside Load An alignment where DB has his outside foot back. Ready to read key and push off. 1/3 Area of the field from NASH to sideline deep. Responsibility for a Cover 3 corner ½ Area of field played by a safety. Goalpost over on either side of the field. Common Buzz Words Trail 2-Gap Bail Stem Disguise Read Word Meaning A technique used by DB’s in man coverage. Trailing the receiver, keeping eyes low expecting an out or in cut. 2-Gap Butt and Pressing a block with the ability to snatch the Receiver in either direction. Making a play towards the ball. Bail A technique used when a DB is showing press and then running out. Stem Disguising a coverage. Showing off then pressing or vice versa. Disguise Showing a different coverage (presnap) than the one actually played. Read Having you eyes locked on your key

Common Buzz Words Lock BCRDS Man Turn Zone Turn Read Word Meaning Means to Slow Play Flow Away. Be alert for the Bootleg, Counter, Reverse, Draw, Screen. Man Turn Used in Man Coverage. Turning your body towards the WR. Zone Turn Used in Zone Coverage. Keeping you body open towards the QB. Lock Man to man coverage on to the boundary side. Corner has #1 and safety or LB has #2. Read Coverage we play with safety and corner to determine If we are trading routes or staying on our man

Common Buzz Words Speed Turn Bump Word Meaning A term used with motion. Instead of running with a receiver you bump either outside or inside (depending on motion) to the next receiver. Speed Turn DB movement where the DB gets and in or out cut by a receiver and the DB has to turn his head momentarily away from the QB to find the up-field should of the receiver.
