Parasite #1: Parental Anger

…because we feel justified.

James 1:19, that says, “My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”

There can be no big “BUT”

Galatians 5:20 says, “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage…”

Do we show our kids an angry, vengeful God?

Yet, none of us have ever experienced the Wrath of God

Parasite #2: Use of Shame

Remember, we are to be to our children as God is to us

Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Repeat after me, “There is a Holy Spirit, and I am not Him.”
