All In a Day’s Work Active Participation Activity: Presidential Powers The following is a list of powers the President has-except some are wrong. Thumbs Up for YES and Thumbs Down for NO

Draft laws and pass them. No

Defend and protect the Constitution Yes

Commander in Chief of the armed forces. Yes

Decide who wins court cases. No

Execute laws that have been passed. Yes

Recommend laws for Congress to consider. Yes
