Adventures in Computational Thinking By Ashley Yen CSE 3 Fluency with Information Technology (FIT) Adventures in Computational Thinking By Ashley Yen Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint On MS Powerpoint, I created a slide show on stock performance. I included an investment pie chart, price comparison bar chart, and a % profit loss bar chart. IDE (Integrated Development Environment) Programming with Python I created a chart with data about students and their information. I created an excel sheet with a budget plan for me in the future. In Python, I cured the for loop to ask users about their favorite pets and favorite drinks. Desktop Publishing with MS Word On MS Word, I created a PDF called “Coding Benefits” that gives key points on why it is beneficial to learn coding. I put this PDF online to share with the world. Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript Through HTML, I am able to make my own Web Page to share with the world. I also get to share other cool stuff online, such as the Mermaid Dog page. Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Computational Thinking This course focuses on Fluency with Information Technology, so it is a way to better understand technology. Computational Thinking is a way to process a problem by finding solutions in a way that a computer can carry out. Using JavaScript, I created while and for loops. I also created a game where the Avengers battle Thanos.
