BR #1: Tuesday, Jan. 22 List one cause AND one effect of imperialism. Define the following key terms: Colony Protectorate Spheres of influence List 4 motives for European imperialism.

BR #2: Wednesday, Jan. 23 Explain the Sepoy mutiny and how it changed British control of India. What did the Monroe doctrine state? Which territories did the U.S. gain after the Spanish-American war?

BR #3: Thursday, Jan. 24 Explain the Opium war, why did it take place, what was the outcome and 3 components of the peace treaty. Describe the relationship between the open door policy and boxer rebellion.

BR #4: Friday, Jan. 25 Describe what occurred at the Berlin conference and which land Britain, France and Belgium received. List one negative impact of imperialism on Africa.
