Let’s Practice! Bob knows he shouldn’t stay out past 11 pm, but wants to stay out and hang with his friends. Internal conflict Sally forgot to study for her English test and is thinking about cheating, though she knows she shouldn’t. Bill notices dangerous weather coming on his way home from baseball practice, so he seeks shelter. External conflict: Man vs. Nature Amy is tempted to try smoking, but she knows it is illegal and isn’t good for her. Alyssa’s friend, Sally, copies her answers to an English test and Alyssa fails the test for cheating. External conflict: Man vs. Man In Arkansas in 1957, the Little Rock Nine were ridiculed for trying to go to an all-white school. External conflict: Man vs. Society
