Topic 5 Sports Psychology When you have worked through this booklet you would have developed your knowledge and understanding of: The classification of skills Practice structures The use of goal setting and smart targets Providing guidance and feedback to performance Mentally preparing for performance

The classification of skills Skills are specific things in sport that can be learned and practiced For example the skills involved in Netball are passing, shooting and dodging. TASK – Pick two sports and list down all the skills that are involved in those sports
