TEMPLATE FOR 2019 JU SYMPOSIUM Rachel Somerville and Matthew Hartfiel Faculty Sponsor: Dr. Gretchen Bielmyer-Fraser Jacksonville University, Jacksonville, FL, USA Abstract Introduction DISCUSSION METHODS Briefly describe the importance of your research. Provide a summary of your project and your findings. Field Locations: Experimental Design: Laboratory Techniques: Data Collection: Statistics: Explain each table and figure. Describe your findings in the context of the existing literature. Use citations. Provide background of your area of research, including citations. Introduce your research topic. Discuss existing literature (what is known) as well as knowledge gaps (what is unknown). Pictures and diagrams could be used as a supplement in this area. This leads into the objectives of the project. This section can be in bullet form or sentence form. RESULTS Conclusions Include all graphs, tables, pictures, etc. A one sentence caption should be included for each. 1-2 sentences or bullets with the overall conclusions of the research and implications. References Include the full references for each citation. Objectives Write objectives of the research and include hypotheses (if pertinent). Acknowledgements Include funding source if applicable
