Jewelry Making Day 1 term 2

Agenda for today Go over what we did last time. We are going to go over our next project garbage jewelry. We will have work time to set up your proposals for your garbage jewelry and determine what we need to bring from home.

Last Time We ended term 1 by turning in our tribal bracelets and anything else we were missing from term 1. Those grades are now final.

Recycled jewelry item ideas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBaHDv7BBN4

Studio Time 1st – pick 3 objects from the front of the room (yes I know it is trash). 2nd – Look at the examples of trash art on the board. 3rd – On page 2 of your sketchbook brainstorm at least 3 ideas of jewelry you could make with these pieces of trash.

Paper beads

Step 1 Cut out shape of paper bead to use as a template

Step 2 Using a toothpick or a skewer roll the paper bead as tight as you can around the stick. Add glue as you go so it stays in place.

Step 3 Add glue, nail polish, or paint to the outside of your bead to make it secure. Let dry than take off of the toothpick.

Demonstration Listen and follow along to the demonstration on how to make a paper bead.
