Finish Measuring Matter Packets With your lab group – finish the measuring matter packets. We will be going over it today as a class.

Weight

Mass

Volume

Density

Answer the questions in the space provided:   1) Find the volume of the candy bar if its length is 25cm, height is 2cm and width is 2cm. (Include units!) 25 x 2 x 2 = 100cm3 2) Find the volume of the liquid in the graduated cylinders (include units!!): 3)You measured the mass of a rock and this is what you see on the triple beam balance. What is the mass of the rock? 35mL 545.2g

4) Which has more volume: 1000cm3 of feathers or 250mL of soda 4) Which has more volume: 1000cm3 of feathers or 250mL of soda. Explain your answer. Since cm3 and mL are the same units for volume, I can cross them out and compare the numbers. Since 1000 is larger than 250, the feathers have the higher volume.
