Healthcare Reform

Why do we need to reform healthcare? Increased care needs in response to the rise in the number of inhabitants, many of whom are elderly The quality of the medical care we provide is good but there are areas that could be improved The working methods, organisation and structure need to be developed Healthcare must be brought closer to the people and primary care provision needs to strengthened – ‘Hospital-heavy’ healthcare People expect a greater degree of access and continuity within the healthcare system than we can offer at present Lack of continuity – Need for coordination New external demands are being made – We need to harness the potential of digitalisation
