Latin: The Written Language Adjectives of the First and Second Declension

Adjectives of the First and Second Declension Adjectives of the first two declensions take: The endings of the first declension when feminine The endings of the masculine second declension when masculine The endings of the neuter second declension when neuter Generally, this means that adjectives of the first two declensions have the same endings as the nouns they modify. This is not a rule.

Adjectives with Occupations Occupations of the first declension are generally masculine. This means that adjectives modifying them take the endings of the second declension.
