“Texture”

“Texture” Complete a texture study of something you can find around the house, school or outside. You may either try to replicate the texture through a detailed value and line drawing or depict 3 separate thumbnail designs using the found texture as inspiration. These thumbnails must be detailed and convey at least ONE specific design principle (movement, rhythm, unity, emphasis, contrast, balance, pattern, etc.)

Things to know… Keep your eyes open!! Texture is everywhere Pattern is a good principle to show a repeated texture You may choose to use non-traditional materials to create your own texture but it MUST represent strong design principles
