Presentation transcript:

Be a part of the BOOK BATTLE! START READING!!! What is a Book Battle? Students read books and come together to test their knowledge of the books. When is it? The Book Battle is March 8 from 7-8 in the Elementary Cafetorium. Teams will compete to win prizes and the title of Book Battle Champion!! What do I need to do to participate? Talk with your friends and create a team of 4-6 students. Any 5th or 6th grade student can participate. Fill out the permission form and return it to Mrs. Douglas (Room B112) by January 25. Decide which book you are going to read. Make sure every team member reads at least 1 book well enough to be an expert in that book. Come up with a team name, costumes, cheer, etc….anything that will make our competition more fun! And then…… START READING!!! Make sure all of the books on the list are read by someone on the team. You can get copies of the books at our library or at the Miami Township Library.

So…..what books are we reading? The Million Dollar Shot by Dan Gutman Dealing with Dragons: The Enchanted Forest by Patricia Wrede Rain Reign by Ann Martin City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit
