Presentation transcript:

Early Implementation Action: Workforce Transportation for Youth Civic Lab brings together cross disciplinary teams to tackle challenging issues related to transportation and land use, and to pilot innovate solutions that can have local and regional impacts. How can you move youth to jobs? Elk Grove Unified School District, Paratransit, and North State BIA formed a unique partnership to ensure underserved youth were provided transportation to new construction sites that are not traditionally served by public transportation. The team leveraged the $1M in funding dedicated by SACOG Board and were awarded $400,000 by Sacramento Transportation Authority to conduct this pilot. The project is currently in the outreach phase and will launch later this year.

Early Implementation Action: Aligning transportation investment to support job and educational accessibility Job accessibility a performance indicator in 2018 funding round So is school/university enrollment served by facility For future funding cycles, looking to include accessibility from employer perspective (labor shed)
