Session Goals An Opportunity for the GAC to hear from Points of Contact, Liaisons and Representatives about other parts of the ICANN Community and the efforts they manage. Reinforce the value of GAC engagement with the rest of the multistakeholder community

Introduction Relationships Over time, the GAC has realized the value of relationships with other member communities within ICANN The GAC has traditionally emphasized bilateral connections at every ICANN meeting with the Board and other SOs and ACs Those connections are very helpful to maintain lines of communication and facilitate collaboration as operational and public policy issues evolve “Intersessional” work has substantially increased in recent years. This also makes contacts with other communities more important and creates opportunities for collaboration. (examples, ALAC, ccNSO, GNSO) Responsibilities As a member of the Empowered Community, the GAC is expected or often asked to participate in cross community opportunities that include various types of reviews, assessments and various operational oversight matters.
