Planet Earth Power point Map of the World

Assignment: As we go over the 7 continents 5 oceans 4 lines of demarcation 4 cardinal directions 4 hemispheres You will take notes on the back of your Map and label the front of your map as we go.

Notes: 5 OCEANS: Pizza anyone? P.I.S.A.A., just think of pizza for the OCEANS. Okay, I know it’s a stretch. Pepperoni= Pacific Vegetarian =Indian Sicilian= Southern Anchovies=Atlantic Frozen Pizza= Arctic

4 DIRECTIONS and Hemispheres Notes:Never Eat Sour Watermelons North East South West Label the directions on your map anywhere you have room.

The hemispheres notes: The western and eastern hemisphere is divided by the Prime meridian. The north and south hemisphere is divided by the equator. Label the hemispheres on your map.

Notes: Lines of demarcation: Lines of latitude: run east and west Equator is 0 degrees Tropic of Cancer is 30 degrees and is north of the equator Tropic of Capricorn is 30 degrees south of the equator Lines of longitude: run north and south Prime Meridian: 0 degrees (runs through Europe and Africa)

Notes: 4 Lines of Demarcation Draw a hand sideways, like below. Thumb = Prime Meridian Forefinger = Tropic of Cancer Middle Finger = Equator Bottom Finger =Tropic of Capricorn
