A Map to where the fires are
California Wildfires Last year we heard about wildfires that burned in California. Sadly, they have been affected by fires again. More than 250,000 people in California have been evacuated from their homes because of three massive wildfires. Woolsey Fire is burning to the west of Los Angeles and Camp Fire is burning in the North of the state. A third fire, called Hill Fire, is raging in the south. Reports suggest that these fires have moved very quickly due to the geographical processes of high winds, low humidity and dry trees and grass. The fires have reached an area called Malibu, a place that's home to many Hollywood A-listers. Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and his wife TV star Kim Kardashian, were amongst those who had to leave their houses. All have confirmed that they are safe via social media. The Woolsey Fire near Los Angeles started on Thursday and has been blazing since then. Hill Fire started at a similar time, very close to the Woolsey Fire. The fire moved so quickly that many people were forced to leave their cars and possessions behind.
