Animal Rights vs. Animal Welfare Now here is the problem. We have two fanatical groups, animal rights and animal welfare, and they can’t decide what is the best way to treat animals. I believe that each side is too extreme, but I lean more toward the side of animal welfare. This is my own belief, and I will give you the information to make your own.

Animal Welfare The purpose of animal welfare is to prevent suffering and cruelty to animals, and to provide care and good homes for pets in need.

Animal Rights Animal rights is on a mission to end all human “exploitation” of animals. This means that they don’t want them to be used as entertainment, food, or any other use of body parts. They believe that animals are their own independent creatures.

Each of these groups have different beliefs, but this doesn’t mean you have to completely believe one side or the other. I lean more towards the animal welfare side, because it wouldn’t be practical and we probably couldn’t generate enough food without animal sources. Hopefully, this information helped you come to a conclusion on what is right.
