Projected dates for Formative Progress Monitoring Assessments (FPMA): Oct. 13-17, Nov. 10-14, and Jan. 12-16.

Students will be given 2-4 passages of non-fiction text Students will be given 2-4 passages of non-fiction text. Each will have a title and paragraphs will be numbered. The prompt will either require you to write an argumentative essay (it’s no longer persuasive) or an informational/explanatory essay (what we used to call expository). The next two slides explain the shift from persuasive writing to argumentative writing.
