Palouse Digital Project & Rose Creek Preserve Photomonitoring Project The Palouse Digital Project provides online access to resources about the Palouse bioregion of eastern Washington and northern Idaho. The Project gathers scattered and diverse resources about the Palouse, and seeks to preserve and make accessible information about distinctive geographic points within the region such as remnants and preserves.  Links to web sites and digitized documents include cultural, biological, historical, environmental, agricultural, and other topical materials and resources related to this unique area.  Initiated in 2004, the 71-item database runs on Contentdm, digital collection management software, licensed by the WSU Libraries. A special section of the project features the Rose Creek Preserve near Albion, WA, which is owned by the Nature Conservancy and managed by Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI).  Photomonitoring of 13 key sites over a 20-year period documents the changing plant communities at this 12-acre preserve.   Digitized photos and notes are posted on the project page along with background information and citations to other information about Rose Creek Preserve.  The poster presentation will cover details of metadata, digitization, photomonitoring, and software.
