Sexuality Survey Considering the battering, abuse and divorce rate associated with heterosexual coupling, why would you want to enter into that kind of relationship? Why do heterosexuals place so much emphasis on sex? "HOMWORK": WAYS TO FIGHT HOMOPHOBIA AS AN ALLY Interrupt anti-GLBTQ jokes, comments or any other behaviors that make homophobia appear acceptable. Always use neutral labels like "significant other" or "partner" instead of just "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" when talking with students or writing in class Bring up GLBTQ issues when talking with colleagues or students. Assume there are GLBTQ people in all classes, sports, meetings, daily life, etc. Don't assume that "feminine-acting men" and "masculine-acting women" are not heterosexual.
