PRINCIPLE 1 The right place is cultivated in our lives through a posture of humility and brokenness

ISAIAH 66:1-2 (1) Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? (2) For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

PRINCIPLE 2 The right place is cultivated in our lives through a trembling at God’s words

JOHN 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

PRINCIPLE 3 The right place is cultivated in our lives through true worship

PSALM 84:10-11 (10) For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (11) For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Time becomes relative when we are with God 2 Peter 3:8 (KJV) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The humblest of positions in the right place is better than prestigious positions with the wicked. Who are you aiming to be? [Transition] Like Brandon mentioned, after Christ’s death, the veil was torn, symbolizing our access to the presence of God. Jesus left and gave us His spirit [NEXT SLIDE]

1 CORINTHIANS 3:9, 16-17 (9) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building… (16) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (17) If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:11-16 (13) ...Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. (14) And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. (15) Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. (16) What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh...

1 CORINTHIANS 6:17-20 (17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (18) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. (19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Notice how fornication is called out in relation to the temple… sexuality is such an important component of our spirituality. It’s constantly under attack because Satan wants to defile the Temple of God. We know that in the future, when the temple worship is reinstated in Jerusalem, that the antichrist will desolate the temple… what makes us think that he’s not after the same defilement now? 1 Samuel shows a picture of corrupt priests (Eli’s sons...sons of Belial) stealing from the sacrifices and sleeping with women in the temple. Now we read that shake our heads… and yet what are we doing with our bodies, our minds, our eyes, which is the temple of the Holy Ghost?
